The Government Navigation Group Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the legislative process, and prepare them for future opportunities in government relations.

Students will work on a diverse range of tasks and projects, across a wide range of skill levels and topics. Students will have the opportunity to help work on presentations, draft speeches and talking points, learn how to navigate the ILGA website, build relationships with key players in Illinois politics, write press releases and news updates, and participate in strategy meetings  Further, students will have the opportunity to sit in on City Hall committee hearings, business planning and client meetings, and executive preparation meetings.

This internship program offers highly motivated college students and law students a great opportunity to experience firsthand the workings of state and local government for six weeks during the summer. We also conduct internships throughout the year as needed.
